HIGH QUALITY IN-HOUSE TRANSFERS

COS Video has been transferring video and audio since 2002. We specialize in family and organization transfer services. We know that your media is very important to you — from family moments to organizational training courses to once-in-a-lifetime events — but they are now trapped in outdated formats.

We’ll provide your new media in any combination of formats you want: Cloud, Flash Drive, DVD and/or CD, as well as return your old formats, which we will even clean and repair at your request.

We have two services for you to choose from:

Drop Off – If you live in the Colorado Springs area or in a neighboring city , please give us a call or an email to schedule a time to drop off your media to be transferred. We will go over your media with you and provide a free estimate.

Standard Order Form – If you live too far away from Colorado Springs to drop off media you may mail it at your own convenience.

We offer the following formats that can be transferred to Cloud, External Hard Drive, Flash Drive, DVD and/or CD. The drives will be reformatted as an X-fat so they can be accessed on a PC or Mac computer. You may have your choice of a .move file (mac) or an .MP4 file (PC). We can supply a flash drive or hard drive for you at an additional cost depending on the size of the drive. Give us a call to discuss your transfer and you may set an appointment to drop off your media or you may mail your media to us and we will ship it back to you.

We constantly keep our media players in perfect working condition. Our most popular service is transferring media to mp4 files and put them onto a flash drive which we provide. We will also transfer your media to DVD if you wish. If you can, please send your tapes in chronological order. We can combine your media onto one DVD if room allows. We won’t transfer over TV shows, movies or professional sporting events that may be on your video footage unless told otherwise.

Film Transfers Silent 8mm & Super 8mm

We use frame-by-frame scanning machines which captures each image of the film individually. We then transfer the digitized film to our editing machine and will color correct the film as needed. You may wish to have your digitized film put on DVD and/or Flash Drive. The DVD will have scene selections so you may jump to any reel that you would like to watch. The Flash Drive will have each one of your reels as separate files.

Included Film Services

Cleaning and re-splicing your film is included with the transfer price.. The benefit of this service is a better-looking transfer of your film by removing dust and fiber particles prior to scanning. The process also lubricates your film which makes it run through the machines smoother. Your film will be returned to you in better condition than when received.

Photos and 35mm Slide Transfers

We first blow off each photo and slide to remove as much dust and fiber particles as possible. Each photo is scanned at a 1000 DPI resolution. The purpose of a high resolution is because you may want to have your pictures printed. We then color correct each photo. We will put your digital photos on a Flash Drive which we provide.

Audio Cassettes and Vinyl Records

All DVDs come with color printed directly on the DVD and DVD inserts. CDs hold up to approximately 70 minutes of audio.

All transfers are done in house.

All DVDs come with color print directly on the DVD and label insert (not labels).

Black slim DVD cases are included with all DVD copies.

We do not duplicate copyright protected media such as movies
